CHEE E3010 PRIN-CHEM ENGIN-THERMODYNAMICS. 3.00 points.

Lect: 3.

Prerequisites: (CHEM UN1403) CHEM C1403
Corequisites: CHEN E3020
Prerequisite: CHEM UN1403 or equivalent. Teaches the formal relationships in the physical world, connecting the fundamental principles with the basis of chemical engineering practice. Topics include the first and second laws of thermodynamics, concepts such as energy and entropy, the equations that relate heat to other forms of energy, properties of ideal and real gases, fluids, single and multi-component systems, phase and chemical equilibria, and the practical implications of these phenomena to systems from the molecular scale to the living world
